Mellish is a crater on Mars, located in the planet's southern hemisphere at 72°38′S 23°44′W / 72.63°S 23.74°W / -72.63; -23.74. It measures 104.95 kilometers in diameter. The crater was named by IAU's Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature in 1994, after American amateur astronomer John E. Mellish from St. Charles in Illinois.[1]

Nearby craters include Dana to the west and Lyell to the northeast. Other nearby features are Sisyphi Cavi to the east, Sisyphi Tholus to the southeast and Dorsa Argentea to the south and southwest.
