Martz is an impact crater on Mars, located in the Eridania quadrangle at 35.3°S latitude and 215.9°W longitude. Marts is east of the giant impact basin Hellas Planitia.[1] It measures 97.0 kilometers in diameter and was named after American physicist and astronomer Edwin P. Martz. The name was approved by IAU's Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature in 1973.[2]

Nearby craters are Horowitz to the northwest, Kepler around 500 km almost to the south and Molesworth to the north.

The crater features a central peak, presumably the largest in the area and the quadrangle. Gullies are domninant in the crater rim and inside the central peak.
