Wright is an impact crater in the Phaethontis quadrangle of Mars, located at 58.9°S latitude and 151.0°W longitude. It measures approximately 114 kilometers in diameter and was named after American astronomer William Hammond Wright (1871–1959). The naming was approved by the IAU in 1973.[1] The adjunct image on the right shows the relationship among three craters that are near each other.
Nearby named prominent craters include Nansen to the north, the Keeler–Trumpler crater pair to the south and Kuiper to the west-northwest with the first one being around 25–30 km away.
In the middle is a small mountain, southeast is a smaller but large unnamed crater which has a smaller mountain in the middle. Dust devil tracks are visible on the floor.
