COVID-19 pandemic in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic in India was reported on 30 January 2020, originating from China. Slowly, the pandemic spread to various states and union territories including the union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The first case was recorded in this region on 26 March 2020.[1]

  • As on 23 June 2020, total number of cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands was 50. There are 10 active cases and 40 have successfully recovered from the virus.[2]
  • As on 26 June 2020, total number of cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is 72. There are 29 active cases and 43 have been cured.[2]
