Bhag Corona

Bhag Corona is an online browser game created by independent developers, Akram Tariq Khan and Anushree Warade, who are students at Xavier School of Management (XLRI).[1] The protagonist is the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the objective of the game is to shoot the COVID-19 virus.[1] The gameplay is simple and draws inspiration from the 2013 video game Flappy Bird.[2] The background score features 'Go Corona, Corona Go' chant attributed to Indian Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale.[3] The game displays personal hygiene educational messages when the character misses the virus.[4]

The game was developed during the 21-day lockdown announced in India on 25 March 2020.[5][6] ShareChat, a regional social networking app, featured the game on their platform.[7][8]
