Padianallur is a census town in northern suburb of Chennai, Thiruvallur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The name padianallur came after Apper, Sundarar, Manikkavasagar visited and sung Tiruvasagam in the region.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Padianallur had a population of 20,863. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Padianallur has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 70%. Angala Parameshwari Amman Temple: This is one of the Very Famous Temple in Padianallur, which is Build for Lord Angala Parameshwari Amman (Parvathi Devi), there is also Temple for Lord Muneeswaran in the same Temple. This Temple is very spacious and painted very colorfully after renovation. Amman Festival during AADI Month (Tamil Month) is very Famous here.

Sakthivel Murugan Temple: This Murugan Temple is located very near to Angala Parameswarai Amman Temple, very neat and spacious Temple.
