Arambakkam is a village in the Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located in the Gummidipoondi taluk.[1] Fishing is the main occupation here, within a short distance lies Bheemavarai Palyam where a creek locally called Uppankali juts out from the Pulicat-Arambakkam lagoon. It has a railway station.

Geography

It is at a distance of 55 km north of Chennai on NH 5, Chennai - Kolkata National highway. This place is at a distance of 2 km from the Tamil Nadu - Andhra Pradesh border.

Arambakkam Railway Station is at a distance of 1 km from the Village and is located on the Chennai - Vijayawada line. Passenger trains and EMUs stop at this station. Arambakkam station is the last station located on the northernmost tip of Tamil Nadu.
