List of World Heritage sites by year of inscription
This is a list of the UNESCO World Heritage sites around the world by year of inscription.[1][2] The first World Heritage site in the list is Galápagos Islands,[3] while the country with the largest number of sites (including sites shared with other countries) is Italy, with 54 entries.[4] The country with the largest number of sites by itself alone (excluding sites shared with other countries) is China, with 52 entries.[5] (F) denotes the country's first inscription.
