an-Našīd al-Waṭanī (Arabic: النشيد الوطني, lit. "National Anthem") is the title of the Kuwaiti national anthem written by poet Ahmad Meshari al-Adwani with music by Ibrahim al-Soula and Ahmad Ali who arranged the composition. It was first broadcast on 25 February 1978.
Prior to 1978, Amiri Salute, composed by Yusuf Adees in 1951, was used.
