List of districts of Bangladesh
The 8 divisions of Bangladesh are divided into 64 districts or zila (Bengali: জেলা).[1] The districts are further subdivided into 491 sub-districts or upazila (উপজেলা).
Each district is run by a Deputy Commissioner (popularly abbreviated to "DC") who is appointed by the government from a Deputy secretary of B.C.S. Administration Cadre.
According to Area - The largest district of Bangladesh is Rangamati District and smallest district of Bangladesh is Narayanganj District.

English spelling change
In April 2018, the government changed the English spelling of five districts to avoid inconsistencies in the Bangla and English spellings. The spellings have been changed from Bogra to Bogura, Barisal to Barishal, Jessore to Jashore, Chittagong to Chattogram and Comilla to Cumilla.[3][4]
