Kestopur

Kestopur, formally known as Krishnapur, is a neighbourhood in Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation and lies under North 24 Parganas district. It lies on Kazi Nazrul Islam Sarani, more commonly known as VIP Road, which connects the city with Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. The community is made up of people of various religions from different states. Kestopur has over the years become an area of great prominence because of its proximity to areas like Salt Lake Sector V and Rajarhat. VIP Keshtopur crossing was one of the busiest of the Kazi Nazrul Islam Sarani. However construction of a flyover along with subway at the crossing (Subway opened in 24 June 2014 and Flyover Opened 8 March 2015) helped in decongesting the traffic at the junction.[1]

The oldest Library of kestopur is- Krishnapur Yuvak Samiti .

It formally Established on  30/12/1957, though it was established before that. It is one of the oldest public library in North 24 Ganas. The infrastructure is excellent , decent behaviour of members  but still not received any grant from the any Govt. Body. Location is at 3 No Camp area of kestopur VIP to Kestopur Bazar Main Road.
