Regent Park is a neighbourhood of South Kolkata, in Kolkata district, West Bengal, India.

Police district

Regent Park police station is in the South Suburban division of Kolkata Police.[1]

Located at 45/D/2A, Moore Avenue, Kolkata-700040, it has jurisdiction over the police district, which is bordered on the north starting from a point on the eastern limit of Tolly’s Nala, where it meets the northern limit of Tollygunge Race Course, thence eastwards along the southern limit of the road attached to the northern limit of the Tolllygunge Race Course up to the north-east corner of Tollygunge Race Course then crossing Deshapran Shasmal Road in a straight line, thence proceeds along the eastern limit of Deshapran Shasmal Road, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Road up to the point where it meets the eastern limit of Nagendra Narayan Datta Road, thence southwards along the eastern limit of Nagendra Narayan Dutta Road, up to its crossing with the northern limit of Tolly’s Nala, thence eastward along the northern boundary of Tolly’s Nala up to the point where it meets the eastern limit of H.L.Sarkar Road.[1]

It is bordered on the east, from the point where the eastern boundary of H.L.Sarkar Road meets the northern limit of Tolly’s Nala, thence southwards along the eastern boundary of H.L.Sarkar Road and Pirpukur Road up to the point where it meets the southern boundary of mouza Bansdroni.[1]

It is bordered on the south, by the southern limits of mouza Bansdroni, Chakdaha and Purbba Putiary up to the eastern limit of Keorapukur Khal.[1]

It is bordered on the west, by the eastern limit of Keorapukur Khal and up to the north-eastern limit of Tolly’s Nala, then northwards along the eastern limit of Tolly’s Nala up to a point where it meets the southern limit of the road situated at the north of Tollygunge Race Course.[1]

Patuli Women police station has jurisdiction over all police districts under the jurisdiction of South Suburban Division i.e. Netaji Nagar, Jadavpur, Kasba, Regent Park, Bansdroni, Garfa and Patuli.[1]

Jadavpur, Thakurpukur, Behala, Purba Jadavpur, Tiljala, Regent Park, Metiabruz, Nadial and Kasba police stations were transferred from South 24 Parganas to Kolkata in 2011. Except Metiabruz, all the police stations were split into two. The new police stations are Parnasree, Haridevpur, Garfa, Patuli, Survey Park, Pragati Maidan, Bansdroni and Rajabagan.[2]

Education

GD Birla Centre for Education is an English-medium ICSE school, classes LKG to XII, at 118, NSC Bose Road, Regent Park, Kolkata-700 040. Sports facilities: taekwando, skating, table tennis, chess, basketball. Arrangements for teaching French, German and Mandarin.[3]

The Future Foundation School is an English-medium ICSE school, classes Nursery-XII, at 3 Regent Park, Kolkata-700 040.[4]
