Survey Park (also referred to as Purba Diganta) is a neighbourhood of East Kolkata in Kolkata in Kolkata district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Geography

Police district

Survey Park police station is part of the East division of Kolkata Police. Located at Kishore Bharati Stadium, Kolkata-700 075, it has jurisdiction over the police district which is bordered on the north starting from a point where the eastern limit of Jhil Road meets the southern limit of Garfa Main Road, thence eastward along the Southern limits of Garfa Main Road, Vivekananda Sarani, Kalikapur Road, up to its meeting point with the eastern limit of Panchannagram Main Canal, thence northwards along the eastern limit of Panchannagram Main Canal up to its meeting point with the eastern limit of Eastern Metropolitan Bye-Pass; on the east by the eastern limit of Eastern Metropolitan Bye-Pass up to its meeting point with the eastern limit of the Eastern Railway line; on the south and on the west starting from the point where eastern limit of the Eastern Metropolitan Bye-Pass meets the eastern limit of the railway line, thence north-west direction along the eastern limit of the eastern railway line up to the eastern limit of Jadavpur Station Road thence northwards along the eastern limits of Jadabpur Station Road and Jhil Road up to the point, where it meets the southern boundary of Garfa Main Road.[1]

Jadavpur, Thakurpukur, Behala, Purba Jadavpur, Tiljala, Regent Park, Metiabruz, Nadial and Kasba police stations were transferred from South 24 Parganas to Kolkata in 2011. Except Metiabruz, all the police stations were split into two. The new police stations are Parnasree, Haridevpur, Garfa, Patuli, Survey Park, Pragati Maidan, Bansdroni and Rajabagan.[2]

Sports

Kishore Bharati Krirangan, also called Jadavpur Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports facility, used mainly for football matches. It has a seating capacity of 12,000. [3]
