Phoolbagan is a neighbourhood in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) in Kolkata district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
Geography
Police district
Phoolbagan police station is part of the Eastern Suburban division of Kolkata Police. Located at P-86, CIT Road, Scheme VIIM, Kolkata-700 054, it has jurisdiction over the police district which is bordered on the north by Maniktala Main Road (road included); on the east by the filled up Circular Canal (canal excluded); on the south by Radha Madhab Dutta Garden Lane and Suren Sarkar Road (roads included); on the west by C.I.T. Road from the crossing of Suren Sarkar Road up to Phoolbagan crossing and Narkeldanga Main Road up to the crossing of the Eastern Railway goods track (roads excluded).[1]
Ultadanga Women police station covers all police districts under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Suburban division i.e. Beliaghata, Entally, Maniktala, Narkeldanga, Ultadanga, Tangra and Phoolbagan.[1]
Transport
‘CIT Roads’ created by CIT through congested areas in the 1930s, developed such neighbourhoods as Beliaghata, Tiljala, Kankurgachi and Phoolbagan in eastern Kolkata.[2]
