In Cape Verde, the finals were televised live on TCV and listened on radio on RCV.

Sporting Praia later head on to play in the Cape Verdean Cup, held in late May and early June, where they would win their only national cup title. Also Sporting Praia will qualify into the upcoming regional super cup and face the regional champion Académica da Praia.

Background

Sporting Praia started at the First Round while Travadores started at the Second Round. The finals featured one of the three largest derbies in Santiago South and the country, the Sporting–Travadores rivalry sometimes known as the Eternal Derby of Praia.

Yet again, it is another season where clubs, participants of the Regional Premier Division competed at the cup final.

Sporting Praia had reached the regional cup final around 15 times, winning about ten of them. The last time they won a cup title was just last season in 2017 where they defeated Os Garridos. CD Travadores reached the regional cup final around 5-10 times winning about two or three of them.[1]
