The 2014 Cape Verdean Super Cup was an annual and a single knockout match featuring the winner of the 2013 championship CS Mindelense and instead of a cup winner as no cup competition was held in 2013, a super cup winner of 2013, Sporting Praia.[1] The Super Cup featured the national rivalry between Mindelense and Sporting.
The super cup was played on the island of Fogo in the island capital São Filipe at Estádio 5 de Julho, and was the second and recent time having the super match played there.
In Cape Verde, the finals were televised live on TCV and listened on radio on RCV.
Background
Sporting Praia played in the super cup once in 2013, Mindelense never played a super cup match.
Mindelense won their only super cup title for the season and remains to be the recent super cup winner today in Cape Verde.[1]
