Numerous businesses and the Yazoo City courthouse sustained roof and some exterior damage, with one business severely damaged. Windows were also blown out of buildings and trees were uprooted. The Yazoo City Schools Administrative Office was badly damaged and a nearby brick building partially collapsed. A large metal awning was torn apart as well.

EF3 NE of Rolla Phelps 37°58′N 91°46′W / 37.97°N 91.77°W / 37.97; -91.77 (Rolla (Dec. 31, EF3)) 1606 11 miles (18 km) 2 deaths - The tornado began just north of Interstate 44 on the west side of Rolla and continued northeast roughly paralleling the highway. A two-story framed house and two mobile homes were destroyed at County Road 8070 and Highway E. Several cars were thrown and many trees were also damaged or destroyed along the path. The tornado lifted near Route 68 three miles north of St. James.
EF1 E of Lecoma Dent, Phelps 37°47′N 91°43′W / 37.79°N 91.72°W / 37.79; -91.72 (Lecoma (Dec. 31, EF1)) 1612 7 miles (11 km) 2 deaths - Three mobile homes were destroyed and other houses were damaged in the area. The fatalities occurred in the mobile homes. Trees and power lines were knocked down as well.

EF0 SW of Washington (2nd tornado) Franklin 38°33′N 91°01′W / 38.55°N 91.01°W / 38.55; -91.01 (Washington (Dec. 31, EF0)) 1717 0.5 miles (800 m) The second of two weak tornadoes to touch down southwest of Washington. Minor damage to a house, trees and signs.
EF2 Robertsville Franklin, Jefferson 38°25′N 90°49′W / 38.41°N 90.82°W / 38.41; -90.82 (Robertsville (Dec. 31, EF2)) 1719 12 miles (19 km) Tornado began in the Meramec River Valley near Bruns Bridge on Mill Hill Road and moved northeast through rural wooded areas where numerous were uprooted or snapped. In Robertsville eight houses and a church were heavily damaged and the church had one of its buildings destroyed before the tornado lifted northeast of the town in Robertsville State Park.
EF0 Augusta St. Charles 38°34′N 90°53′W / 38.57°N 90.88°W / 38.57; -90.88 (Augusta (Dec. 31, EF0)) 1725 2 miles (3.2 km) The tornado damaged a house, garage and uprooted large trees just west of Augusta from Augusta Bottom Rd to Highway 94.

EF3 Sunset Hills area Jefferson, St. Louis 38°32′N 90°25′W / 38.54°N 90.42°W / 38.54; -90.42 (Sunset Hills (Dec. 31, EF3)) 1748 7 miles (11 km) 1 death - Tornado began in Murphy where it caused minor roof damage through a large residential subdivision before moving into Fenton where it intensified and a church received heavy damage and moved northeast with the most severe damage in the Sunset Hills area with houses destroyed (one of them nearly flattened) and one person sustaining fatal injuries (she died 10 days after the tornado). After moving through Sunset Hills the tornado weakened and eventually dissipated in Crestwood, Missouri. Six others were injured.
EF1 North St. Louis St. Louis 38°38′N 90°15′W / 38.64°N 90.25°W / 38.64; -90.25 (North St. Louis (Dec. 31, EF1)) 1808 2.5 miles (4.0 km) The tornado touched down near the corner of Delmar Blvd. and N. Taylor Ave. in the Lewis Place neighborhood and moved north then north east through the Greater Ville neighborhood causing damage to roofs of apartment, condo and town homes, severely damaged several brick structures, destroyed numerous decks, chimneys and carports, and uprooted trees along its 3-mile path before crossing the northwest corner of Fairgrounds Park and lifting near Lee Ave. in O'Fallon neighborhood.
EF2 NW of Ellsinore Carter 36°56′N 90°51′W / 36.93°N 90.85°W / 36.93; -90.85 (Ellsinore (Dec. 31, EF2)) 1924 2.5 miles (4.0 km) Two houses were damaged, one severely with walls collapsing. A mobile home was also heavily damaged, and a wooden mill was destroyed. Trees were uprooted or snapped along the path.
EF2 NW of Poplar Bluff Butler 36°49′N 90°28′W / 36.82°N 90.47°W / 36.82; -90.47 (Poplar Bluff (Dec. 31, EF2)) 2025 0.25 miles (400 m) Brief but intense tornado with a house having most of the roof torn off, damage to fences, antenna tower, and trees were uprooted or snapped along the path.
Oklahoma
EF3 Cincinnati, AR area Adair, Washington (AR), Benton (AR) 35°59′N 94°34′W / 35.99°N 94.57°W / 35.99; -94.57 (Cincinnati (Dec. 31, EF3)) 1205 21 miles (34 km) 4 deaths - Severe damage in the area with many houses damaged (some heavily) and many mobile homes, three houses and a fire department building destroyed. Tornado started in Oklahoma but most of the damage was in Arkansas. 10 other people were injured. Two of the fatalities were in a mobile home and one was outdoors. A fourth person died on January 4, five days later.

Illinois
EF0 NW of Mozier Calhoun 39°17′N 90°19′W / 39.29°N 90.31°W / 39.29; -90.31 (Mozier (Dec. 31, EF0)) 1756 4 miles (6.4 km) Trees were damaged and knocked down in the Calhoun County Conservation Area.
EF0 NE of Lebanon St. Clair 38°37′N 89°55′W / 38.61°N 89.91°W / 38.61; -89.91 (Lebanon (Dec. 31, EF0)) 1830 0.5 miles (800 m) Brief tornado damaged a few trees and outbuildings.
EF3 Petersburg Menard 39°58′48″N 89°50′54″W / 39.98°N 89.8482°W / 39.98; -89.8482 (Lake Petersburg (Dec. 31, EF3)) 1837 3.6 miles (5.8 km) The tornado touched town on the west side of Lake Petersburg moving northeast across the lake severely damaging or destroying 29 houses and damaging over 100 other houses and outbuildings. The tornado moved SW to NE across the lake and through the subdivision before lifting southeast of Petersburg. One person was injured.

Mississippi
EF1 S of Vicksburg Warren 32°20′N 90°52′W / 32.33°N 90.87°W / 32.33; -90.87 (Vicksburg (Dec. 31, EF1)) 2211 3.5 miles (5.6 km) A weak tornado touched down south of Vicksburg damaging trees and downing large limbs along the path. A few buildings sustained minor damage.
EF2 Terry to Brandon Hinds, Rankin 32°06′N 90°17′W / 32.10°N 90.29°W / 32.10; -90.29 (Terry (Dec. 31, EF2)) 2244 26 miles (42 km) The tornado touched down in Midway Estates, knocking down trees and causing roof damage to houses before running parallel to Interstate 55 through Byram, Mississippi. Numerous structures and billboards were damaged, vehicles were tossed from the highway and trees and power lines were downed as the large wedge tornado moved through. The tornado caused extensive damage to houses and businesses in Pearl. The tornado then moved into the Jackson International Airport where it damaged warehouses and knocked trees down before lifting near Luckney Road.
