Brighton, Missouri

Brighton is an unincorporated community in southern Polk County, Missouri, United States.[1] It is located at the intersection of Route 13 and Route 215 about fifteen miles north of Springfield. Brighton is part of the Springfield Metropolitan Statistical Area.

A post office called Brighton has been in operation since 1852.[2] The community takes its name from Brighton, Tennessee, the native home of a large share of the first settlers.[3][4]
