Sundar Haraicha, formerly known as Indrapur (Nepali: इन्द्रपुर), and Koshi Haraincha Municipality is in Morang District in the Kosi Zone of south-eastern Nepal. Earlier, the municipality was formed merging the three existing villages, Haraicha, Mrigaulia, and Indrapur, in May 2014.[1][2] and again merged Sundar Dulari Municipality and Koshi Haraincha Municipality and became Sundar Haraincha Municipality in March 2017 as per new rule of Nepal for local bodies.[3]

At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 10,592 living in 1,930 households.[4] It is bordered by Belbari Municipality in the east, Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City in the west, Kerabari in the north and Haraicha in the south. It is also the border of Sunsari district as Budhi Khola flows between Sunsari and Morang. More than 80% of the people in this VDC are engaged in agriculture. Many small scale as well as large-scale industries are established here. Temples including Krishna temple, Kali temple (one of the oldest temple of this area), Radha Krishna, shvalaya madir, tc. lies here. The main ethnic groups here are Brahmin, Chhetri, Rai, Limbu, Tharu, etc. The villages including Biratchowk, Salakpur, Karjuna, Harainchamode, Jogichor, etc. lies here. Among them, Biratchowk is most developed and Salakpur has religious importance being old village in kosKoshiraincha. This kosh haraHaraichaicipality is one of the developed municipality of Morang district with various utilities including drinking water, electricity, communication etc. District-famous schools and campus including Sukuna Multiple Campus, Subijimur Memorial Higher Secondary School, Shikshya Niketan School, Bright Future Higher Secondary School, Sajilal Higher School, Tender Feet Boarding School etc. lies here. There are Gokulam park, Gokarna resort for recreation purposes at Baliya. Municipality office is in Biratchowk. Many developmental efforts are active in this area. There is also uneven population distribution in this Municipality. Many national politicians, players and film actors such as Rekha Thapa, Jiwan Luitel, Bharat Khawas are also from this village. Far more, yearly Indrapur Festival (Mohatshob) is also celebrated by various organizations for its popularity and fame and a big expo was also held in 2073 BS in Biratchowk.
