History
The history of Égry is directly linked to the Royal Archives of the Kings of France and the history of the stronghold, fief castle, of the Château de La Motte d'Égry[1] of the fief of La Motte d'Égry, also called Château d'Égry; these historical records are traced in relation to the genealogy of the local lords "Seigneurs de La Motte d'Égry" and the local parish families registers. The castle and parish burials also hold important traces of historical information.
