Nagram is a town in Uttar Pradesh, India, in the Lucknow district.It is Located between the two roads from Lucknow city to Sultanpur and Rai Barely. Nagram is famous in awadh for its Unity among all religions. The distance between Lucknow and Nagram is 37 km. Raja Nal was the founder of Nagram. There are many historical religious sites in Nagram as well which are popular among all religions. Imambada Wajahat Hussain Rizvi is the beautiful Imambargah in the center of Nagram. Anjuman e Abbasiya[1] is the oldest and current anjuman of Nagram.

Geography

Nagram is located at 26°37′N 81°08′E / 26.62°N 81.13°E / 26.62; 81.13.[2] It has an average elevation of 118 metres (387 feet). It is situated 37 km from Lucknow (capital of Uttar Pradesh). Mohalla Bangla is core area where all reputed zamidars resides in their ancient havelis.There are four main areas, Sayedwada,Kothi,Bangla and Phulwari. Kothi is the area of Late Meer Fida Hussain,earlier this area was the core of zamindari,that is why this area is also known as Chaudhrana in which there is a beautiful gaint gate of rock is situated which is popular in Nagram by the name of Kothi.

As of 2001 India census,[3] Nagram had a population of 9218. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Nagram has an average literacy rate of 43%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 53%, and female literacy is 33%. In Nagram, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
