Itaunja (Hindi: इटौंजा) is a town and a nagar panchayat in Lucknow district, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Geography
Itaunja is located at 27°05′N 80°55′E / 27.08°N 80.92°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 124 metres (406 feet).
History
Itaunja was the seat of Itaunja Estate, a Talukdari of Oudh.[2]
Demographics
As of 2011 India census,[3] Itaunja had a population of 7305.Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Itaunja has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 66%, and female literacy is 54%. In Itaunja, 15% of the population is under six years of age.
