Bindki (Hindi: बिन्दकी, Urdu: بندکی) is a city and a municipality in Fatehpur district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.
It is one of the few Indian towns which has separate markets for each and every items. The markets are Bajaja Gali for cloths, Sarafa Bajar for Jewellery, Bartan Bajar for Utensils, Kirana Gali for spices, Shoe market for Footwear, Bailahi Bajar for Vegetables, Fatak Bajar for Stationary items and Books etc.
Geography
Bindki is located at 26°02′N 80°36′E / 26.03°N 80.6°E.[1] It is about 26 km from Fatehpur, 55 km from Kanpur, 72 km from Banda and 127 km from Lucknow. It has an average elevation of 125 metres (410 feet).
Bindki and the surrounding region are very rich, fertile lands, lying in between the Ganges and Yamuna rivers.
History
Bindki is a historical place in India. It was named after its emperor Raja Venuki. It is among the oldest Tahsil in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Bindki is also associated with the first war of Independence in 1857.

According to 2011 Census of India, Bindki had an urban population of 63,285. Males constitute 52.98% of the population and females 47.02%. Bindki has an average literacy rate of 77.6%, higher than the national average of 74.04%; with male literacy of 82.9% and female literacy of 71.61%. The population under 6 years of age is 4,513. Sex ratio in Bindki is 888 per 1000, below national average of 940.
