Bharatganj is a Nagar Panchayat city in district of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The Bharatganj city is divided into 13 wards for which elections are held every 5 years. The Bharatganj Nagar Panchayat has population of 28,349 of which 14,467 are males while 13,918 are females as per report released by Census India 2011.

The current chairman of Bharatganj is Mr. Hafiz Zubair Ahmed since December 1, 2017. In Uttar Pradesh Nikay chunav held on November 26, 2017, he won the election by 1038 votes from Mrs. Salma Begum (Mr. Hafiz Zubair Ahmed - 4248 Votes, Mrs. Salma Begum- 3210 Votes, Sirajuddin Khan - 657 Votes, Vijay Kumar - 310 Votes and Ramzan Khan - 18 Votes).
