Jeebropilly is a locality in the City of Ipswich local government area in Queensland, Australia.[1]
Geography
This location is situated at the junction of the Ipswich - Rosewood Road and the Ebenezer Road, 42 km (26 mi) from the Brisbane CBD. It is within the County of Churchill.
History
The origin of the name is from an Aboriginal word meaning flying squirrel gully.[1]
Economy
New Hope Corporation Ltd has restarted mining coal at its Jeebropilly coal mine, which it had previously closed in 2007.[2]
