Fartha, County Cavan

Fartha is a small townland in the south eastern side of County Cavan, Ireland in the parish of Knockbride. It consists of 146 acres (0.59 km2) statute and is 657 feet (200 m) at its highest point. It is made up mostly of grassland area and has a 4.5-acre (18,000 m2) lake known as Fartha Lough with 2 streams flowing from it.

The townland of Fartha has few families living there. It is mainly made up of the Boyle, Costigan, Drury, Martin and Shanley families. Its current population (in 2017) is 22, compared with 91 in the 1901 census.
