Barwar is a town and a nagar panchayat in Lakhimpur Kheri district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.It is a crowded town situated near the shahjahanpur.A beautiful Gomti river flows through the town.Now a days Mrs.Nasreen Bano is the chairperson of barwar.Mr.Sanjay Sharma was last chairperson of the town.There are Allahabad bank and DCB bank.There is a market also where all things are available.There are 11 wards in the town and 2 famous temple also.

As of 2001 India census,[1] Barwar had a population of 11,800. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Barwar has an average literacy rate of 48%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 62% of the males and 38% of females literate. 19% of the population is under 6 years of age.
