Bandanpur is a small village in Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It has a local post office. Transportation is also easily available, and there is a small market called Padaua. He was born in the village of Bandanpur, to a well-known Tiwari Brahmin family. At a young age, he moved to Ahmedabad in 1932 and worked with Rustom Cama, a famous name of Ahmedabad. He was not able to study during his childhood and as an adult he decided to open schools and colleges in his home village. Fundraising enabled foundation of the Jan Sewa Ashram schools there.

His death on 28 March 1983 is commemorated annually in his schools.Another Notable person Late Shri Anantu Tiwari who lost his life in the Indo pak war was the Brave son of the soil.

His father was great saint Vibhandak Rishi.Shringi Rishi performed 'Putrakameshti Yajya' for King Dashrath of Ayodhya, after that Lord Rama and his three brothers were born.
