Dinhata

Dinhata is a city and a municipality in Cooch Behar district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is the headquarters of the Dinhata subdivision.

As of 2011 India census,[4] Dinhata had a population of 36,124. Males constitute 50.78% of the population and females 49.22%. Dinhata has an average literacy rate of 91.61%, higher than state average of 76.26%: male literacy is 94.53% and, female literacy is 88.62%. In Dinhata, 7.88% of the population is under 6 years of age.
