Rural Municipality of Estevan No. 5

Estevan No. 5 is a rural municipality in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It is located in southeastern Saskatchewan and is within SARM Division No. 1 and Census Division No. 1. Its population was 1,051 as of the 2006 Census. The city of Estevan is located within the rural municipality but is considered to be a separate municipal jurisdiction. In addition, located adjacent to the RM are the independent Town of Bienfait and the independent Village of Roche Percée, both lying on the eastern border of the RM. The southern boundary of the RM is the United States border at Divide County and Burke County, both in North Dakota.

Statistics

According to the Canada 2006 Census, Estevan No. 5 has a population of 1,051 people, a change of -0.4% from 2001. It has a total of 417 private dwellings, 388 of which are occupied by usual residents. It has an area of 774.67 square kilometres (299.10 sq mi) and a population density of 1.4 inhabitants per square kilometre (3.6/sq mi).[1]
