Rural Municipality of Reciprocity No. 32

The Rural Municipality of Reciprocity No. 32 (2016 population: 344) is a rural municipality (RM) in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 1 and SARM Division No. 1. It is located in the southeast portion of the province.

In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the RM of Reciprocity No. 32 recorded a population of 344 living in 135 of its 145 total private dwellings, a -10.9% change from its 2011 population of 386. With a land area of 733.04 km2 (283.03 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.5/km2 (1.2/sq mi) in 2016.[4]

In the 2011 Census of Population, the RM of Reciprocity No. 32 recorded a population of 386, a 9.7% change from its 2006 population of 352. With a land area of 733.04 km2 (283.03 sq mi), it had a population density of 0.5/km2 (1.4/sq mi) in 2011.[7]

Economy

The RM's economy is based on agriculture and oil.[8]

Government

The RM of Reciprocity No. 32 is governed by an elected municipal council and an appointed administrator that meets on the second Thursday of every month.[3] The reeve of the RM is Alan Arthur while its administrator is Marilyn J. Larsen.[3] The RM's office is located in Alida.[3]
