Wadena is a town in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, located east of Saskatoon, north of Fort Qu'Appelle and north-west of Yorkton on the eastern shore of the Quill Lakes. The town is known for its birdwatching opportunities, and hosts the Shorebirds and Friends Festival every year. The Wadena and District Museum, located just south of Wadena on Highway 35, also hosts an annual Vintage Day in August. Its population in the 2011 Canada Census was 1,306.[1]
Wadena is the administrative centre of the Rural Municipality of Lakeview. It is also the administrative headquarters of the Fishing Lake Saulteaux First Nation band government.[5]
The town is named for Wadena, Minnesota, the place of origin of some early settlers of Scandinavian American descent.[6]

- Pamela Wallin[7] – Canadian radio and television personality, senator
- Keith Magnuson[8] – player, team captain and coach of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks, born and grew up in Wadena
- Bob Washington[9] – a staff announcer at Winnipeg radio station, CKRC and The "Voice of K-Tel" radio personality.
- Boyd (Borys) Kozak – Canadian radio personality for over 50 years; former announcer at CFQC-AM Saskatoon, Winnipeg's CKRC and currently QX 104 FM. Inducted into the Broadcast Association of Manitoba (BAM).
- Wally Kozak[10] – former assistant coach of the Canadian Women's Ice Hockey Team at the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics
