Choong Shiau Yoon, also known as Steven Choong (simplified Chinese: 锺少云; traditional Chinese: 鍾少雲; pinyin: Zhong Shao Yun; born 7 December 1957), is a Malaysian politician and is the Member of Parliament for the Tebrau constituency in Johor, Malaysia since May 2018. He is the Tebrau Division Chief of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He formerly served as deputy secretary general of the party.[2]
Choong contested in the 2013 election and lose with 1,767 votes to Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) candidate. But he won in the 2018 election by defeating both the two candidates from MCA and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS).
Choong also has been a Director at Country View Bhd since 27 March 2002 and serves as the Senior Independent Non-Executive Director.[3]
