Datuk Zahidi bin Zainul Abidin (Jawi: زاهدي بن زاينول عابدين; born 9 January 1961) is a Malaysian politician. He is the Member of Parliament of Malaysia for Padang Besar, Perlis and the head of the Padang Besar division of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO). He is also the Chairman of the Malaysian International Institute of Islamic Cooperation (IKIAM).[1]

Controversy

Zahidi recently claimed that the severe storm which hit Penang over the weekend causing floods and landslides may have been a form of karmic retribution due to bad things committed by certain people.[2]
