Taiping is a federal constituency in Perak, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Dewan Rakyat since 1974.
The federal constituency was created in the 1974 redistribution and is mandated to return a single member to the Dewan Rakyat under the first past the post voting system.
History
2004–2016: The constituency contains the polling districts of Sungai Relong, Kampong Pinang Utara, Kampong Pinang Timor, Kampong Pinang Selatan, Kamunting Baru, Kamunting, Kamunting Road, Waterfall Road, Expo, Bukit Jana, Barrack Road, Eastern Road, Birch Village, Market Street, Tupai Lane, Theatre Road, Kota Road, Tupai, Coronation Road, Kampong Aman, Sekolah, Sungai Tupai, Pasar, Jalan Raja Muda, Pokok Assam, Museum, Aulong, Aulong Barat, Aulong Timor, Aulong Tengah, Aulong Selatan, Batu Dua, Assam Kumbang, Station, Kampong Boyan, Taman Marisa, Kota Lama, Simpang Road, Aulong Lama, Taman Sening.
