The 1992 United States presidential election in Illinois took place on November 3, 1992, as part of the 1992 United States presidential election. Voters chose twenty-two representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

Illinois was won by Governor Bill Clinton (D-Arkansas) with 48.58% of the popular vote over incumbent President George H.W. Bush (R-Texas) with 34.34% becoming the first Democrat to win Illinois on a presidential level since 1964. Businessman Ross Perot (I-Texas) finished in third, with 16.64% of the popular vote.[1] Clinton ultimately won the national vote, defeating incumbent President Bush.[2] In 1988, Dukakis also received 48.6% of the vote. As of the 2016 presidential election, this is the last election in which Tazewell County, Monroe County, Douglas County, Crawford County, Edgar County, Clark County, Richland County, Johnson County, Cumberland County, Jasper County, and Brown County voted for the Democratic candidate.
