Achila is one of the 44 barangays of the municipality of Ubay, in the province of Bohol, Philippines. The barangay's total land area is 384 hectares (950 acres).[4] According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 1,429.[2]

Achila celebrates its annual fiesta on 15 January in honor of the patron saint.

Location

Located in the northwest of the municipality, Achila overlooks Camotes Sea to the north. It is bounded to the east by Tapon, to the south by Camambugan, and to the west by Humayhumay. Achila is 3 km (1.9 mi) from the town center, Poblacion. From there it is accessible by all kinds of land transportation with a travel time of 10–15 minutes by private vehicles (jeep, motorcycle, automobiles) and 15–20 minutes by public transport.
