The 2013-14 Santo Antão Island League (South) season was the competition of the second and third tier football in the southern (and western) part of the island of Santo Antão, Cape Verde. It started on 14 December 2013 and finished on 23 March 2014. The tournament was organized by the Santo Antão South Regional Football Association (Associação Regional de Futebol de Santo Antão Sul, ARFSAS).[1] Académica do Porto Novo won the 8th title and finished with 34 points and had 11 wins, a draw, and 37 goals, and conceded only five.

Overview

Académica do Porto Novo was again the defending team of the title. Seven clubs participated in the competition; Fiorentina and Lajedos did not participate. A new club participated named Tarrafal de Monte Trigo, and Santo André once again returned to the competition.

Sanjoanense took the lead in the first week; only Académica took the rest of the season being number one.

Marítimo finished second and finished in that position for the next two seasons. Tarrafal de Monte Trigo finished third which is their best position since. Sanjoanense was fourth but third in goal totals with 14, fifth was Inter along with goal scoring of ten in which Tarrafal Monte Trigo also scored, and sixth was Sporting and fourth in goal totals. Seventh was Santo André, which did not have a single win and scored only six goals. Due to financial concerns, the club withdrew and would not return until the 2016-17 season.[2]
