The 2013–14 Brava Island League season was the competition of the second and third tier football in the island of Brava, Cape Verde. Its started on 14 December 2013 and finished on 23 March 2014. The championship was organized by the Brava Regional Football Association (Associação Regional de Futebol da Brava, ARFB).[2] All matches were played at Estádio Aquiles de Oliveira in Nova Sintra. Sporting Brava won their first title, they became listed on 23 February.[3] Sporting became the 6th and recent club to have a championship title. In overall competitive honours, the seventh and last one on the island.
Juventude da Furna was again the defending team of the title. A total of 7 clubs participated in the competition and had a total of 42 matches, each club played 14 matches in the whole season and 177 goals were scored.
Overview
Five matches finished with high points and the highest was Nô Pintcha who scored 13 over Benfica on March 8, 2014 and made it one of the highest points ever scored in the island league until March 2016.
Nô Pintcha took the lead in the first week, Sporting took it for the rest of the season with the exception of the 6th round with Nô Pintcha took the lead as Sporting had their bye round. Sporting finished with 32 points, a regional record overtaking Juventiude Furna's 31 point record made last season.
At the final round, Sporting Brava had the 13th unbeaten match at the regionals. For Juventude, from January 25, 2014, they started their 17 match unbeaten streak which would last until April 10, 2016, what streak ended for the club was their 13 match unbeaten run at home, they suffered their first regional home loss on January 5 at the fourth round with a 2-3 loss to Nô Pintcha.
Nô Pintcha scored the most numbering 46, second was Sporting with 39 and Coroa scored the least numbering seven only. Sporting conceded only 11 goals while Benfica conceded the most numbering 52, second was 3rd place Juventude Furna with 18, 4th place Morabeza conceded the second most and was 31.
There was no competition in the third week of March due to the regional cup competitions.
