Visa policy of Algeria


The Government of Algeria allows citizens of specific countries/territories to visit Algeria without having to obtain a visa. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months from the date of entry into Algeria.

Visa exemption

The citizens of the following 7 designated countries as well as refugees and stateless persons residing in these countries can stay 90 days in Algeria as long as their purpose of visit is tourism or business:[1][2][3]

Diplomatic and service category passports

  Visa-free for holders of diplomatic passports

Visa waiver agreement for holders of diplomatic and service passports was signed with India[6] and it is yet to come into force.

eVisa

In February 2020, the Government of Algeria announced a plan to introduce eVisas in the future.[7]

Israel

Entry and transit is refused to Israeli citizens, even if not leaving the aircraft and proceeding by the same flight.[8]
