List of European countries by minimum wage

The following list provides information relating to the minimum wages (gross) of countries in Europe.[1][2]

The calculations are based on the assumption of a 40-hour working week and a 52-week year, with the exceptions of France (35 hours),[3] San Marino (37.5 hours),[4] Belgium (38 hours),[5] United Kingdom (38.1 hours),[3] Ireland (39 hours),[3] Monaco (39 hours),[6] and Germany (39.1 hours).[3] Most of minimum wages are fixed at a monthly rate, but there are countries where minimum wage is fixed at an hourly rate or weekly rate.

European countries by minimum hourly gross wage in 2018 (in PPP, Purchasing Power)
European countries by minimum hourly gross wage in 2018

The difference between the gross income and the net income ratio is given by the percentage of income taxes. For example, even if a Slovakian citizen has a gross minimum income higher than a Czech, in reality the first will receive less money than the second because of higher income taxes.
