Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio is a Japanese first-party video game production and development arm of the parent company Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), most well known for the Ape Escape, LocoRoco, Patapon, Gravity Rush, and Knack series, among other titles.

Company overview

Japan Studio operates as part of Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios. The development group also includes Team Ico, who are best known for the PlayStation 2 games Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, and Project Siren, known for the Siren series and the PlayStation Vita titles Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice. Within Sony, Sugar & Rockets, an internal development team previously known as Exact, worked on games such as Ghost in the Shell, Geograph Seal, Jumping Flash!, Robbit Mon Dieu, and Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn.[1]
