CloverWorks Co., Ltd. (Japanese: 株式会社クローバーワークス, Hepburn: Kabushiki-gaisha Kurōbā Wākusu) is a Japanese animation studio rebranded from A-1 Pictures' Kōenji Studio and is a subsidiary of Aniplex.[3]

Establishment

In April 2018, A-1 Pictures rebranded its Kōenji Studio as CloverWorks which has a unique brand identity, distinguishable from its main Asagaya Studio.[4][5] The studio is based in Suginami, Tokyo.[2]

Four of the animations have changed studio tabs from A-1 Pictures to CloverWorks after the rebranding. They are Slow Start, Darling in the Franxx, Persona 5: The Animation and Ace Attorney Season 2. Slow Start changed the studio tab after the original run ended, while Darling in the Franxx changed the studio tab in the last 12 episodes.[6][7]

On October 1, 2018, CloverWorks announced that it had separated from A-1 Pictures, although it is still a subsidiary of Aniplex.[3]
