Rob Stringer (born 13 August 1962 in Aylesbury, England) is an English record executive. He is the CEO of Sony Music Entertainment, a position he has held since April 2017.[1][2]

He is the younger brother of Sir Howard Stringer, who was Chairman and CEO of Sony Corporation until April 2012, when he was replaced by Kazuo Hirai.[3] Although he is not Jewish, he was awarded the UJA-Federation of New York’s Music Visionary of the Year Award in 2013.[4]

UJA Federation of New York: "Columbia Records’ Rob Stringer Gets Music Visionary Award" June 24, 2013 |"Colleagues and friends, and even Stringer himself, poked fun at the fact that he was receiving the award though he is not actually a member of the tribe. In a tongue-in-cheek video that played at the start of the luncheon, his daughters remind him he had only a month to go until the UJA-Federation event, so he should “know more about the Jewish faith.” In response, Stringer gets a “live-in rabbi” with whom he peruses Judaism for Dummies and studies Talmud."
