Mundra Airport is a private airport in Mundra, Kutch, Gujarat, India owned by Mundra International Airport Private Ltd (MIAPL), a subsidiary of the Adani Group. It is used for scheduled as well as non-scheduled operations.[1]
In October 2017, the Adani Group announced that they will expand the current airstrip in runway and develop it as an international airport investing ₹ 1500 crore with capacity of 300 passengers and handling of large passenger aircraft as well as cargo. They have received environment clearance.[1][2]
Under UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme, the Air Odisha started flights between Ahmedabad and Mundra in February 2018.[3]
