President showed the source of John the Baptist, and he washed his hands in the waters of Jordan, visited the Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist.
- January 25–26, 2007 – Official visit to India (New Delhi). It was decided to expand bilateral cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy on the joint construction of extraction and transportation of oil and natural gas in India and the surrounding areas.
- February 10, 2007 – Working visit to Germany (Munich). Participation in the 43rd Munich Conference on Security Policy.
- March 13–14, 2007 – working visit to Italy. Signing of several agreements and contracts. The first meeting between presidents of Russia and Pope Benedict XVI and the third visit of Putin to the Vatican.
