Governmental Affairs Committee (Georgia House)

The House Governmental Affairs Committee is a 17-member legislative body consisting of a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary, and 14 members. The Committee operates under a House mandate to evaluate legislation "concerning the operations and management of state, county, and municipal government".[1]

Scope and jurisdiction

The House Governmental Affairs Committee is responsible for overseeing legislation dealing with "the operations and management of state, county, and municipal government". The committee also has jurisdiction over Georgia's state election law.[1]
