Fengtai railway station, opened in 1896, is a railway station located in the Fengtai District of Beijing. The station has been closed since June 2010[1] in preparation for the construction of the new Fengtai railway station, which is expected to have a similar scale to Beijing South railway station.[2] The new railway station will be a high-speed railway hub in Beijing[2] and will be the largest railway station in Asia.[3] It is also likely to serve as one of the terminal stations of the Beijing–Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong HSR.[4] The construction officially started in mid 2018 and the new railway station is expected to open in 2020[3] or 2021.[2]

Beijing Subway

The Fengtai railway station is served by a station of the same name on Line 10 of the Beijing Subway.[5][6] The subway station opened 5 May 2013.[7] It will also connect with Line 16 in the future.[8]
