The erect and multi-stemmed shrub typically grows to a height of 3 metres (9.8 ft). It blooms between September and November producing pink-purple flowers.

It is found on sand plains, low slopes and ridges along the west coast in the Mid West, Wheatbelt, Peel and South West regions of Western Australia where it grows in sandy-loamy soils containing gravel.[1]
