Petrophile anceps is a shrub endemic to Western Australia.[1]

The shrub typically grows to a height of 0.3 to 1.0 metre (1.0 to 3.3 ft). It blooms between August and October producing yellow flowers.

It is found on hillslopes in the Great Southern region of Western Australia to the north and east of Albany where it grows in sandy-gravelly soils around sandstone.[1]
